Very few places in the history of music have been able to contribute what CBGB's has given us. From the birth of the New York era of punk rock (including The Ramones, Richard Hell, Blondie and countless other groundbreaking groups) to the dawn of New York Hardcore and the famous Sunday Matinee's (featuring such NYHC staples as Agnostic Front, Murphy's Law, Warzone, Sick Of It All, and transplants The Bad Brains), the colorful character and the undeniable personality of CB's is what made it a worldwide attraction, and now that it is gone, why it will hold a place in the heart of music fans worldwide.
